U.S. Club Soccer’s 2019 National Cup XVIII Northwest Regional will be held from June 28-July 1 at 60 Acres Soccer Complex in Redmond. The regional last took place at the facility — which features 25 fields — from 2010-14 and 2016.
In other local soccer news, Redmond’s Crossfire Premier is part of U.S. Club Soccer’s first-ever group of Player First-licensed clubs.
Featuring 46 clubs from 19 states around the country, a press release states that these organizations have proven their commitment to providing a holistic club soccer experience for parents and players, which emphasizes the development of each individual to his or her full potential, and helps parents make better choices about where their children should play.
“We believe this to be the most rigorous and comprehensive attempt in U.S. Soccer history to identify those clubs that have demonstrated a commitment to creating the kind of infrastructure and culture necessary to provide the best overall environment for players,” said Kevin Payne, CEO of U.S. Club Soccer.
