“Snowboard Purchasing and Maintenance Made Simple,” a workshop for prospective snowboarders ages 12-19 and their parents, runs from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17 at the Old Fire House Teen Center, 16510 NE 79th St. in downtown Redmond.

The workshop will cover the basics on what you need to get started in snowboarding, how to set up, tune and wax your equipment and more.
