Seattle Prep defeated Redmond High, 37-21, on Sept. 16 in a nonleague football game at Redmond High.
The visitors led 16-0 after the first quarter and 23-7 at halftime. Redmond cut the lead to 23-14 after three quarters and Seattle Prep went up 37-14 before the Mustangs scored again.
For Redmond, Devon La Pierre scored on a 5-yard pass from quarterback Teryn Berry; Joel Hargin hauled in a 56-yard touchdown pass from Berry; and Cameron Boone scored on a 1-yard run. Pedro Menchaca converted all three PATs.
Berry was 16-for-32 for 213 yards passing, Hargin was 17-for-109 yards rushing, Ryan Mossman caught five passes for 32 yards and Bradley Cagle snagged three passes for 30 yards.
On defense, Jacob Nichols had 7.5 tackles and Hayden Poore had 6.5 tackles.
In overall stats, Redmond had 385 total yards (213 passing, 172 rushing) to Seattle Prep’s 238 (145 passing, 93 rushing); and Redmond had 20 first downs to Seattle Prep’s 13.
Redmond will next host Heritage at 7 p.m. on Friday.
