The Redmond High School New Field Gala will take place Aug. 21 from 6-8:30 p.m. at Walter L. Seabloom Stadium, which just had a brand new turf surface installed.

The event will feature the current varsity and youth teams in an abbreviated practice, induction of members to the Mustang Football Hall of Fame, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an alumni passing tournament featuring members from past teams.

There will also be a barbecue for $5 per person and a quarterback throwing competition. In addition, pieces of the old football field turf will be for sale, with all proceeds going back to scholarships for football players in an effort to offset the Lake Washington School District’s significant increase in athletic fees.
