SpaceNeedle Volleyball Club’s U14 boys — featuring Paul Onu of Redmond — recently won their division championship at the 2017 Border Smackdown Tournament in Spokane. The team features some other Eastside players.

Coached by Mark West, the team went 9-0 against teams from Washington, Oregon and Idaho, losing only one set in the tournament. The boys have won four U14 tournaments in the region this year. They plan to compete at the USA Volleyball Boys Junior National Championships in Columbus, Ohio, in July.
