Redmond resident Caleb Giddings will be among 240 of the best revolver shooters in the United States vying for the title at the 20th annual Smith & Wesson International Revolver Championship (IRC).

The IRC, which takes place in San Luis Obispo, Calif. from June 2-5, is governed by ICORE, the International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts. Shooters will navigate their way through 14 courses of fire shooting from a variety of positions at multiple targets at various distances, with top scores based on time and accuracy.

“The IRC is about more than just speed,” explained Ron Joslin of ICORE. “With targets at distances out to 50 yards, accuracy is still king. The best shooters understand the delicate balance between the two, knowing when to trade speed for the perfect shot.”
