Redmond High sophomore Emma Anson and junior Cheyenne Kosse will take to the floor and balance beam, respectively, at this weekend’s 4A state championships at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall.
They qualified for state at last Saturday’s district meet at Mount Si High.
Anson scored a 9.05 and Kosse notched a 9.15.
“The competition was pretty stiff and they did well. They were nervous and looked a bit shaken during warm up, but, as always, pulled it together and performed like champions when the pressure was on and the time came,” said coach Jason Farr. “I’m hoping they can keep the energy up for one more week and do well at state.”
