A group of youth skiers from Redmond will be swooshing down the slopes at the 2011 Buddy Werner Championship (BWC) alpine ski competition at Stevens Pass this weekend.

The BWC race is sanctioned by the United States Ski & Snowboard Association and features 255 boys and girls representing 23 ski clubs from the Pacific Northwest in Giant Slalom and Slalom events.

Redmond participants include Andrew Folta, Greg Gibbons and Luke Gibbons from the Stevens Pass Alpine Club, and Katie Hensien from the Crystal Mountain Alpine Club.
