Three girls remain on Redmond High’s gymnastics team and the trio qualified for the 3A state meet this Thursday-Saturday at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall.

At districts, Leah Schare qualified on vault with a 8.4, bars with a 8.4, beam with a 8.5 and floor with a 9.15.

Miyeko Johnson qualified on bars with a 7.85, beam with a 8.325, and floor with a 9.625. She placed second on floor at districts.

Elly Yochum qualified on the vault with a 8.275

“I’m excited to take these girls to state on Thursday. This will mark the first time, since I’ve been with Redmond, that everyone on the team qualified for state,” said coach Jason Farr.

Due to injuries this season, the Mustang squad dwindled to three.
