Key returners

• Sr. Mac Acker, P/OF: Lefty staff ace will be one a few senior leaders. Has potential to be a top-tier pitcher in the league.

• Sr. Drew Fosnes C: Senior leader behind the plate learned a lot from last year’s championship team and will provide punch in the middle of the lineup for the ‘Stangs.

• Jr. Matt Kimmel OF: Great baserunner was in the top five in stolen bases in Kingco last year as a part-time player.

Top newcomers

• Sr. Nolan Thomas CF: Mustang wrestling phenom will patrol center field. His speed will allow him to run down fly balls others can’t reach.

• Jr. Josh Bircher, OF: Small kid with big heart will play infield for the Mustangs. Member of 2008-09 Mustangs’ basketball team that placed fifth at state.

• Soph. Michael Conforto, IF/OF: Superb athlete played running back for the ‘Stangs and will be a strong contributor for the baseball team.

Starting pitcher Mac Acker is in the process of building a Web site for his senior culminating project. The goal of the project is to develop a marketing strategy to assist student athletes to be recruited into a collegiate athletic programs. The site is www.macacker.info.
