Redmond High’s boys and girls basketball teams swept Interlake High in 3A KingCo action last Friday night.
For the boys, Aleks Bober tallied a game-high 19 points, followed by Devon La Pierre with 12 and Graham Sheffer with 10 in the 55-48 victory.
Redmond is 4-4 in league following a 59-35 loss to Bellevue and a 65-55 loss to Juanita this week.
On the girls’ side, Kiki Milloy had 14 points, followed by Teagyn Ohrt with 12 and Katie Hartman with 11 in the 72-42 Interlake win.
Redmond is 5-2 in league following a 58-42 loss to Juanita this week.
• In Overlake boys action, Owen Friend amassed 20 points in the Owls’ 66-35 win over University Prep in 1A Emerald City League play last Friday night. Trent Gardner added 14 points and Tellier Lundquist had 10 points for the Owls, who are 2-1 in league following a 58-32 win over Bush this week.
On the girls’ side, Holly Harris led the Owls with 15 points in their 33-23 loss to University Prep.
Victoria Friend scored 16 points in Overlake’s 41-35 loss to Bush on Tuesday night.
Overlake is 0-4 in league.
• Bear Creek’s boys defeated Black Hills (Tumwater), 42-39, in nonleague action on Monday night.
Colby Cadigan led the Grizzlies with nine points and Alex Gephart and Connor Pittman added eight points each.
The Grizzlies are 7-2 overall and 3-0 in the 1A Emerald City League.
In Bear Creek girls’ action, the locals edged Forest Ridge, 40-39, in league play on Tuesday night.
Alyson Wong and Delaney Montgomery tallied 14 points each to help raise the team’s league record to 2-3.
