Redmond swept Juanita in both the boys and girls 3A KingCo basketball games on Friday night at Redmond High.

In the 74-49 Redmond boys victory, Carson Brown led the Mustangs (1-0 in league) with 17 points, followed by Aleks Bober with 13, Devon La Pierre with 12 and Kevin Gordon with 10.

Redmond led 26-17 after the first quarter and bolstered its lead to 43-28 at halftime. The Mustangs outscored Juanita 19-8 in the third quarter to pad their lead.

The Redmond girls defeated Juanita, 60-52, and were led by Kiki Milloy with 23 points and 16 rebounds. Andrea Dang added nine points and Teagyn Ohrt had seven points and nine rebounds.

Redmond (1-0 in league) led 15-11 after the first quarter, and Juanita shot back to claim a 27-21 halftime advantage. Redmond outscored Juanita 23-7 in the third quarter to lead, 44-34, and rolled from there.
