Battling the rain that plagued the region all last week, the Redmond High baseball team homered early and often in a 12-1 thrashing of Issaquah on Thursday afternoon in a 4A Kingco league contest.
Dylan Davis put Redmond on the board with a three-run shot in the first inning, then Zach Abbruzza continued his hitting tear, blasting two long balls in the second and third innings.
Junior Patrick McGrath and senior Jake Levin also cleared the fence for solo shots in the game.
On the mound, junior Peter Hendron earned the win, striking out seven of the 11 batters he faced in three innings of work.
With the win, the Mustangs improved to a perfect 5-0 in conference play and 7-2 overall. They play next tomorrow night at home against Garfield, first pitch at 6 p.m.
