Panthers Youth Rugby is currently enrolling players in grades 5-8 for the spring season.
Practices are from 10 a.m. to noon every Saturday until March 10 at Highland Middle School in Bellevue. The season starts March 17.
According to a press release, “rugby is a progressive sport teaching core values of teamwork, passion and discipline. In addition, it’s a great opportunity to get kids outdoors and engage in healthy movement and to learn new skills.” The rugby community represents a diverse set of cultures, including participants from many different countries.
Teams are co-ed until sixth grade, and contact rugby starts at the fifth-grade level. Coaches are certified by Rugby USA.
