Overlake’s boys soccer team defeated Hoquiam, 2-0, in the opening round of the 1A state playoffs on May 18. Harrison Mickle and LT Cosmos tallied for the Owls, 14-2 overall.
Bear Creek’s Lily Niermeyer finished on top of the podium in the shot put (26-4.5) and discus (66-9) last week at the 1A Emerald City League championships. Both marks were PRs.
