And the honors keep rolling in for Overlake sophomore Jaquelin Nordhoff.
First, the girls soccer player was named 1A Emerald City League most valuable player and now she’s the WIAA’s 1A state athlete of the week following the Owls’ 3-0 victory over La Salle to notch the state title. She scored in the Owls’ 1-0 victory over King’s in the semifinal and again in the final.
Nordhoff finished the season with 10 goals.
On garnering league MVP, Nordhoff said: “It was pretty great. Our coach says that all individual awards come back to the team, but it was definitely nice to be rewarded. So, it was cool.”
