The Overlake School has hired Allison Prohn to be its head volleyball coach for the 2014 season.

“We’re really fortunate that Allison wants to take the reins and continue to build this great program. She leads by example and she’ll challenge the players every day,” said Owl athletic director John Wiley.

Prohn has a variety of volleyball coaching experience at Overlake including being the varsity assistant under her predecessor, Scott Christopher, who announced in late May that he was moving out of state after compiling a record of 63-47 (.573) in six seasons at Overlake.

As a player, Prohn was a high school star as a middle blocker at University High in Spokane before playing volleyball at Northwest College in Kirkland.
