Overlake hires Guerrero as new head volleyball coach

The Overlake School has hired Eddie Guerrero as the Owls' new head volleyball coach for the 2016 season.

The Overlake School has hired Eddie Guerrero as the Owls’ new head volleyball coach for the 2016 season.

Overlake athletic director John Wiley, said, “Eddie has both the technical and tactical aspects we sought but more importantly, both his former players at the high school and club level rave about him. We couldn’t be more excited to get Eddie back on our coaching staff.”

Guerrero is the former head coach at 4A Kentlake High School, where he led the Falcons to back-to-back playoff appearances in his two years on their bench (2014, 2015). Prior to Kentlake, Guerrero coached Overlake’s junior varsity program (2012, 2013) as well as serving as an assistant coach at Sammamish High School (2011). In addition, he has extensive club coaching experience.

“I’m excited to return and coach a talented group of players at Overlake. I hope to continue to build upon their success,” Guerrero said.
