Caroline Roush continued her dominant season at No. 1 singles, sweeping Maya Shields 6-0, 6-0, with the Owls taking all the doubles matches: Clair Bond/Emily Walter (6-0, 6-2) over Alaina Dussler/Tia Monahan, Julia Wu/Tammy Eydelman (6-0, 6-1) over Vanessa Wong/Anndee Hilton, and Christina Kuklinski/Kelly Hanschen (7-5, 6-1) over Sage Mitchell-Sparke and Kelsey Overbey.

Owls roll to eighth lacrosse win

The Overlake girls’ lacrosse team continued its tear through Division II action with a 20-8 rout of Kennedy on Monday at Kennedy High in Burien.

For Overlake, Grace Grubb paced the offense with six goals, followed by Katie Hill with five goals and 11 ground balls.

Goalkeeper Quinn Phillips came up with five saves.

The Owls (8-1-0) have scored double-digit goals in each of their wins this season and will face off against league-leading Bellevue East (8-0-0) at 5 p.m. on Friday night at home.
