Overlake downed South Whidbey, 57-53, in a 1A bi-district boys basketball contest on Tuesday night.
At South Whidbey in a loser-out game, Owen Friend had 15 points, Zeyad Daher had 14 and Tellier Lundquist had 12 for Overlake.
Coach Justin Prohn said the Owls played composed and hard and it was a great team victory with clutch plays down the stretch.
Overlake (16-5) will next play another loser-out game at Mount Baker (17-5) at 7 p.m. Thursday.
In the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association rating percentage index rankings, Mount Baker is sixth and Overlake is eighth.
