In their first meet of the new year, the Redmond High gymnastics squad had no trouble beating Garfield last night at Issaquah High School, 136.9 to 89.7. Kaylee Borms won both the floor (9.35) and beam (8.1) events while leading the team with a 3rd place all-around score, which included scores from Issaquah High's team.

Ally Garcia and Chelsea Polk, both still recovering from ankle injuries, placed fifth and eighth all around, respectively, with Polk taking second in the vault with an 8.35 and Garcia right behind with an 8.3.

The girls continue their 4A Kingco season next Thursday, Jan. 12, against league power Woodinville, at Woodinville High School, at 7 p.m.

Ballard and Garfield will also participate in the meet.
