Long wins for Redmond at Barry Knott Classic | Wrestling prep report

Redmond High wrestlers attended the Barry Knott Classic tournament at Nathan Hale High School last Saturday, and two Mustangs ended up advancing to championship matches. Wrestling at 132, senior Brandon Long won the title, defeating Christian Huessy of Ballard 8-1 in the finals, with teammate Marcio De Faria, at 138, losing to Liberty's Conner Small in a 9-3 decision for a runner-up finish.

As a team, the Mustangs finished eighth out of nine teams with 98 team points. Federal Way won the tournament with 196.
