• Accomplishments: Lee had a perfect week in singles and doubles last week to guide Redmond to two victories against Eastside schools. First in the Redmond’s 5-4 victory against Eastlake, Lee was the top Mustang to win a singles match, winning No. 3 singles 6-2, 7-6 (7-3). She also combined with Narumi Watanabe to win the No. 1 doubles match in three sets 7-5, 3-6, 6-4. Lee continued her success against Juanita, winning her No. 3 singles match 7-5, 6-3 as Redmond won 6-3.
• What is your favorite athletic moment?: I have enjoyed every match, both singles and doubles, that I have played for the Redmond High tennis team.
• Did you Know: Lee, who has a perfect 4.0 GPA, volunteered for the Madison House Retirement Center in Kirkland for more than two years helping seniors with bowling. She plans on attending the University of Washington and majoring in medicine.
Evan Braicks

• Year in school: Senior
• Favorite class: Creative writing
• Accomplishments: Evan Braicks had a career week last week, including his first high school home run in the fifth inning of Redmond’s 11-5 route of Roosevelt on April 11. Braicks went 2-for-3 in that game with two runs-batted-in. Earlier that week the catcher went 2-for-4 with a double in an impressive 15-7 victory against Bothell.
• What is your favorite athletic moment?: Winning three tournament games in one day for the Washington Brewers select baseball team last summer.
• Did you Know: Braicks, who was on last year’s varsity baseball team that made the state tournament for the first time since 2000, carries a 3.93 GPA.
