Redmond High School senior Dylan Davis pitched a shutout eighth inning for the West squad at the AFLAC All-American High School Baseball Classic last Sunday at PETCO Park in San Diego in a 5-3 East victory. After surrendering a leadoff base hit and stolen base, Davis got a fortunate twin killing on a line drive snagged by the third baseman, who threw to second for the double play. Davis’ fastball hit 98 miles per hour on the radar gun multiple times during his inning of work.
