City to offer fly fishing class

The City of Redmond's recreation division will be hosting an Introduction to Fly Fishing class starting on Thursday, March 31 and running for 10 weeks every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Redmond Senior Center, 8703 160th Ave. NE.

The City of Redmond’s recreation division will be hosting an Introduction to Fly Fishing class starting on Thursday, March 31 and running for 10 weeks every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Redmond Senior Center, 8703 160th Ave. NE.

The class, taught by well-known Alaska guide and outfitter Dick Lange, will cover entomology, habitat, knots, casting techniques, fly-tying and stream reading, and includes two field trips on the Sammamish River.

The cost for Redmond residents is $80, or $96 for non-residents, not including a $15 course manual fee payable on the first day of class.
