Bear Creek defeated Providence Classical Christian, 3-0, last Saturday in a 2B/1B district boys soccer playoff game for seeding to the state tournament.

The Grizzlies (18-2) will play Mount Vernon Christian in the state quarterfinals at 5 p.m. this Saturday at Mount Vernon Christian.

Against Providence, Nathan Sim, Brandon Saw and Jesse Leuenberger scored and goalkeeper Blake Denniston earned the shutout.

Grace Academy defeated Bear Creek, 1-0, in a district semifinal game on Nov. 7. Grace won, 5-4, in a penalty kick shootout.

Bear Creek’s girls (13-2-1) will play Mount Vernon Christian in a district playoff game at 1 p.m. this Saturday at Interlake High. The winner advances to state.
