I am writing to express my support for 45th Legislative District state Rep. Roger Goodman. I believe, with his leadership, that he will help improve education in Washington, which I consider to be the most critical issue currently facing the Legislature.

Roger has been endorsed by the Washington Education Association, the Lake Washington Education Association, Public School Employees of Washington, and the American Federation of Teachers Washington. He is a champion for early learning – a father of two, he truly cares about our kids, and has been repeatedly named a “Champion for Children” by the Children’s Alliance and a “Champion for Education” by the League of Education Voters. He has said that funding public schools is his top priority, and has led measures to expand early childhood education. In the Legislature, he is on the Early Learning and Human Services Committee.

More than half of the bills that Roger has introduced have been enacted into law, and I trust him with the vital task of significantly improving public education in Washington state.

On a personal level, Roger has demonstrated his concern and caring for his district and the state. We need Roger’s continued leadership in the Washington state Legislature.
