What is the deal with technology?
While it makes our lives easier and more streamlined on an hour-by-hour basis in today’s modern world, it really messes up the simplest of things when it stops working.
Last week, we learned that our letters submission system through the Redmond Reporter website was not sending the letters to where they needed to be. The same was true with a few other Eastside publications.
Here I was just thinking everything was wonderful on the Eastside and people were feeling “meh” about everything – neither happy nor frustrated enough to put pen to paper (or digits to keyboard, in this case) and get a letter out to the editor.
Meanwhile, there were frustrated readers and letter writers out in our community wondering why their letters aren’t running and cursing our editorial team.
Rest assured, we’ve solved the problem. A test – performed by yours truly just now – leaves me confident that letters are again coming to me from the website.
If we’ve missed your letter and the issue is still pertinent and timely, please feel free to resend it.
In the future, please know that if your letter is not reaching the page or the website, you can email me directly at editor@redmond-reporter.com to ask for a status update.
For now, all is again right with the world at the Redmond Reporter.
I look forward to reading and publishing your letters again.
And thank you for reading.
