Steve Carlson
Steve, age 55, was born on December 30, 1956 in Spokane, WA. He went into the arms of his Lord on July 13, 2012 while surrounded by his family at his home in Redmond. He fought a courageous 17-month battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). Steve is survived by Jude, his wife of 26 years, son Cody 21, and daughter Kim 19, his parents Ed and Pauline Carlson, sister Lori Massey, and 8 nieces and nephews. He graduated with a degree in Advertising Art, and moved to Seattle with Jude in 1987 to pursue a career in advertising. For the last 13 years, he had his own contracting business in Redmond; Steve’s Home Refinement, through which he further pursued his love of artistic expression by way of landscaping and remodeling. Steve was a light-hearted and incredibly caring individual who drew people to him with his unique sense of humor. A faithful and loving husband, as well as a devoted and inspiring father, Steve truly blessed people with his presence wherever he went. A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. this Friday, July 27 at Timberlake Church in Redmond. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to donate to and/or join ‘Team Steve’ at the Walk to Defeat ALS on September 22. webwa.alsa.org
