OUR LOVING MOTHER……

Esther passed away at the age of 88 years old on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Evergreen Hospice Center in Kirkland, WA.She worked in the electronics industry for many years and was honored several times for being the most valued employee. She loved her work and took pride in it.Esther was a wonderful person who reached out to anyone in need. Her heart was filled with love, kindness, and generosity. She set a perfect example for us to follow. We are grateful to her for giving us the gift of awareness and compassion for others. She will be loved and missed forever.Esther was born on August 5, 1923 in Seattle, Washington and was the daughter of Paul and Esther (Johnson) Christen. She is survived by her 4 children, Jerry (Elizabeth) Schreurs, Nancy (David) Thress, Linda Webb and Larry (Elaine) Schreurs, 4 step children, Johnny, Jeanne, Jodi and Bobby. She is further survived by 11 grandchildren, Jerry, Joe, Jeff, Kim, Duane, Angie, Brian, Heidi, Greta, Erika, Evan and 9 great grandchildren, Rachelle, Nancy, David, Beau, Gabrielle, Tyler, Julie, Chloe, Addison and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Amari, Abrianna and 3 sisters Gladys Frazier, Helen Smyth and Irene Hinkle. A private memorial is being held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Evergreen Hospice Center in Kirkland, Compassion and Choices of Seattle, American Cancer Society or simply reach out to someone in need.
