Dorothy Marie Cook passed away Dec. 29 at the home of her daughter in Snohomish Wash. after complications stemming from pancreatic cancer. She was 91. Cook was born May 18, 1917 in Battle View, North Dakota. She was a longtime Redmond resident. She co-owned the Hotel Café and the first Texaco station in town. Prior to moving to Redmond, Cook met and married Archie Arnold Cook in 1932. Dorothy is survived by three daughters, Doloris Souza, Joan Linder, Edith Williams; one son, Harold Cook; and son-in-law Jake Williams. Dorothy had 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Dorothy was active with the Group Health guild and she could always be seen working her green thumb at her home on Northeast 95th street. A memorial will be held Monday Jan. 5, at noon at The United Methodist, 16540 NE 80th St, in Redmond, followed by a burial service at Cedar Lawn, 7200 180th Ave NE, Redmond and reception at the Old School House in Redmond.
