DEWEY WAYNE FARR

Dewey Farr, 93, passed away on October 18, 2008 in Redmond, WA. He was born to Wilburn & Frances Farr on September 15, 1915 in Tuscombia, MO. Dewey married Leona Pearl Braams in 1941 and in 1942 he was drafted into the 58 Signal Corps, serving in the South Pacific Theater until 1944. The Farr’s made Kansas City their home until they moved to Redmond, WA in 1981 where Dewey volunteered at the Redmond Food Bank for 17 years.Dewey is survived by his daughters Carole Farr and Barbara (Bob) Welcome, both of Redmond; sisters Genevieve Burnley and Anna Starnes, both of Kansas City; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona, in 1999.A graveside Service was held on Octobet 24 at Cedar Lawns Memorial Park in Redmond.
