1943 – 2025

Carol passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 29, 2025 In Everett, Washington.

Carol was born in Hood River, Oregon and moved to Springfield, Oregon at an early age. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1961.

Carol had many girl friends and loved spending time doing the crazy things girls in the ’60s did. She married her high school sweetheart and later gave birth to a son, Jeff Burge.

Later she moved to the Seattle area then to Redmond, Washington. She and Dave Hopkins were married and lived on 5 acres with her two donkies, two dogs and two cats.

They owned a waterfront home on Hat Island and spent many wonderful times around the campfire eating fresh crab and clams. This was her paradise.

In early 1990 Carol was blessed by the birth of her granddaughter Caitland Westby. The two of them shared a loving bond through the years.

Her last years were spent with her companion Keith Fryer.

Carol is survided by her son, Jeff Burge: her brother Douglas King and her granddaughter, Caitland Westby.

She will be surely missed for all the fun days we spent together.
