Albert Edwin Carlson
Albert Edwin Carlson of Redmond, Washington, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2011. Mr. Carlson was born February 16, 1922 in Butte, Montana, spending most of his youth in Wallace, Idaho. He served in the Air Force in WWII and later was recruited from Wallace by the Boeing Company. Al was a remarkable man as he was kind, compassionate, generous and a true gentleman. He was an inspiration and a role model to everyone who was fortunate to know him. In addition to his loving wife of 9 years, Virginia, he is survived by his daughter Judi Carlson, Seattle, sister Thelma Bue, Hayden, Idaho, stepson William Lawrence (Joanne), Burien, stepdaughter Kathy “Casey” Caesar, Lynnwood, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Al’s first wife, Hazel, of 53 years and daughter Kathryn, preceded him in death. Memorial services will be held at Overlake Terrace Assisted Living, Redmond, Washington on March 12 at 3:30pm. Donations may be made to your favorite charity in Al’s memory.
