UPDATE 3:
According to Cindi West, public information officer for the King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO), the threat they are investigating at Tesla STEM High School was from a message written on a bathroom wall.
“We are not asking the school to take any measures,” West said. “The threat was vague but we are still investigating and have deputies on campus.”
She added that they are not sure if the threat is related to the threats Redmond and Juanita high schools received last week, but they are looking into it.
In addition, STEM principal Cindy Duenas sent an email message to parents stating that no specific actions are required by the school and KCSO is staying onsite to continue their investigation. In her message, Duenas also said classes and activities, including after school activities, will remain on their normal schedule.
UPDATE 2:
According to the Redmond Police Department’s Twitter page, Redmond Middle School has ended its modified lockdown. Police do not believe threat is credible and they are continuing to engage there with staff and students.

According to the Redmond Police Department’s Twitter page, police officers have walked through all of Redmond Middle School and right now, nothing suspicious was found. Officers are speaking with school staff now.
ORIGINAL STORY:
According to a press release from the Redmond Police Department (RPD), Redmond Middle School is currently on modified lockdown due to a reported threat.
A threatening message was found at the school Monday morning.
The release states that Redmond police has multiple officers at the school right now and is fully engaged with school staff and students.
“We do not know if this threat is related to the Redmond High School or Bella Bottega threats from last week, and are treating this new written threat seriously,” the release states.
In addition, unconfirmed reports on social media state that a message from the principal of STEM High School was sent out alerting parents of a possible threat at the school.
The message states that it was not a direct threat but the King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) is investigating.
After school activities at STEM were mentioned in the message and the school is cooperating with the sheriff’s office. Currently, it is not believed that the school and students are in danger and school officials will rely on law enforcement’s advice concerning any specific actions needed, the message states.
