The Redmond Reporter Police Blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Redmond, which gets more than 500 calls (emergency and non-emergency) per week.
Monday, Dec. 27
Car prowl: Someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the 16900 block of Redmond Way and stole a backpack and GPS.
Sunday, Dec. 26
Vehicle theft: Redmond police responded to a report of a vehicle theft at an apartment complex in the 2500 block of 152nd Avenue Northeast. There are no suspects at this time.
Burglary: Redmond police responded to a burglary in the 17100 block of Northeast 80th Street. Some jewelry and a laptop were stolen.
Saturday, Dec. 25
DUI: A 40-year-old woman was arrested for investigation of DUI after she committed several traffic infractions near the corner of Cleveland Street and 164th Avenue Northeast.
Unsafe lighting: Redmond police arrested two teenage boys after responding to a report of a fire in a restroom at a park in the 3600 block of West Lake Sammamish Parkway.
Running away: An elderly woman left her vehicle running in front of a gas station in the 18000 block of Redmond Way at around noon as she was asking for directions. An unknown white male jumped in her car and drove away.
Friday, Dec. 24
Harassment: A father was arrested for domestic violence harassment in the 9700 block of 164th Avenue Northeast.
Stolen package: A resident who lives in the 18100 block of Northeast 110th Way reported that a neighbor’s package, that was left on the front porch, was stolen while the neighbor was on vacation.
Thursday, Dec. 23
Mail theft: Redmond police responded to a report of mail theft in the 9800 block of 171st Avenue Northeast. The mail was stolen while the family was on vacation. The mail was found by a neighbor in the bushes outside of the residence.
Wednesday, Dec. 22
DUI: A 40-year-old Burien man was arrested for investigation of DUI after a 911 caller reported that the vehicle was speeding and crossing the center line. Officers found the vehicle, observed additional violations and then determined the driver was impaired by prescription drugs.
