From Together Center:
Together Center is proud to announce the opening of its redeveloped community human services center designed to bring people together and foster a sense of belonging in King County. Together Center’s mission is to make lives better by helping people find the assistance they need. Together Center does this by co‐locating a large array of programs and affordable housing on one campus and connecting people to these resources. Together Center provides a welcoming space for individuals and families and offers a variety of programs and access to resources furthering health equity and fostering a spirit of inclusiveness.
The new Together Center campus will prevent both nonprofit and housing displacement, ensuring that East King County households have easy access to the vital services needed to achieve stability, health, and economic mobility, for decades to come. The ground floor will feature an expanded, dynamic 49,000 sq ft human‐services hub that will preserve a place for nonprofits to provide critical services and add hard‐to‐find common spaces, including a nonprofit conference and event center; social‐purpose coworking lounge; community kitchen; and public art gallery. Two‐hundred and eighty units of affordable housing sit on the five floors above the new human services hub.
This project brings together so many critical needs in one place – housing, services, and community space, all within walking distance of high‐capacity transit,” says Councilmember Claudia Balducci. “We are fortunate that the Together Center created its original trailblazing model for co‐locating nonprofits on one campus and that it continues to grow and evolve to meet the needs of our diverse community.”
The Together Center is much more than just a building; it’s a place where people can connect with one another, obtain social services they need, learn new skills, and engage with the arts. With a wide variety of programs and activities, including language classes, health and nutrition programs, and educational workshops, there’s something for everyone in Together Center. In addition to its many programs, the Together Center is also a hub for community organizations and local businesses, providing a space for them to collaborate and connect with one another. Whether it’s hosting a networking event, a fundraiser, or a workshop, the Together Center is the perfect destination for building community and fostering relationships.
Redmond City Mayor welcomes the new Together Center. “The Together Center is vital to creating urgently needed affordable homes in our community. In addition, co‐locating and providing essential services will conveniently provide Redmond individuals and families the resources and tools to succeed,” said Mayor Birney. “The City is grateful for the collaboration and support of our community partners, and thankful for the new housing choices and services the Together Center will bring in support of our diverse community.”
“We’re thrilled to be opening the doors of the Together Center to the Greater Eastside community,” said Kim Sarnecki, Together Center CEO. “We believe that everyone deserves a place to connect and belong, and our goal is to provide just that through our partnerships, programs, and amenities. We can’t wait to see the positive impact the new Together Center will have on our community.”
The new Together Center campus will have a phased opening with the Mountain Building opening to the public in late April and the Forest/Sound building set to open its doors in late summer.
