Grace Reamer has been named a new member of the board of directors for the Together Center in Redmond.

Reamer is a legislative aide to King County Council member Kathy Lambert and a long-time supporter of Together Center efforts to develop a similar center in Issaquah. A Seattle resident and former journalist, Reamer previously lived in Issaquah and currently does both professional and volunteer work on the Eastside from Woodinville to Issaquah.

“Grace Reamer is well known to many of us on the board of directors for her work supporting the efforts of human service agencies,” said Barb de Michele, immediate past chair for the Together Center. “She is a community leader with superb experience and skills and knows well the importance of partnerships.”

One of the first nonprofit multi-tenant centers in the nation, Together Center was designed first and foremost to lower barriers to finding help. Where east King County residents once needed to travel from Bothell to Renton or beyond to find help at individual locations, people from throughout the Eastside, now find comprehensive assistance at one location in downtown Redmond.

“Together Center’s model that creates symbiotic relationships among human services providers is very compelling,” said Reamer. “The center vividly demonstrates a productive delivery system that multiplies benefits for its clients and efficiencies for its tenants and I am delighted to support this model.”

Services include shelter, medical and dental care, child care assistance, youth and family counseling and more. Tens of thousands of people were assisted on campus last year.
