Students from Lake Washington School District’s Northstar Junior High School will offer a toy-making class from 10:15-11:15 a.m. Saturday, May 29 at the Redmond Regional Library, 15990 NE 85th St.
The hands-on class, for children ages 5 and up, with parent supervision, will demonstrate how common household items can be made into toys such as sock dolls or wind-up cars.
The Northstar students are completing a year-long program called Community Threads. The program helps students identify a community need and consider solutions to help fulfill that need. Each student can work independently or with a group to create a small program and offer it to the community during the school year.
