State of the Eastside Luncheon slated for Feb. 9 at Old Redmond Schoolhouse

The Second Annual State of the Eastside Luncheon will be Feb. 9 at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center at 16600 NE 80th St. in Redmond and feature a panel with City of Redmond Mayor John Marchione, Meydenbauer Center Executive Director Stacy Graven and Seattle Foundation President and Chief Executive Officer Norman Rice.

The Second Annual State of the Eastside Luncheon will be Feb. 9 at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center at 16600 NE 80th St. in Redmond. The luncheon will feature a panel with City of Redmond Mayor John Marchione, Meydenbauer Center Executive Director Stacy Graven and Seattle Foundation President and Chief Executive Officer Norman Rice.

The purpose of the event, which is hosted by Leadership Eastside, is to generate a community report card evaluating how the Eastside is performing. The report and community assessment will be published as the “2012 State of the Eastside” using the framework of the seven elements of a healthy community: Arts and culture, basic needs, education, environment, health and wellness, economy and neighborhoods and community.

Registration for the event begins at 11:40 a.m. with lunch and the address beginning at noon. Tickets are $35 and include a gourmet version of a school lunch.
