Star Trek mania hits Redmond

Temporal Studios hosted the first release party for the Internet series, “Star Trek: Phoenix” last Sunday at Redmond’s Black Raven Brewery.

The event was a celebration of the character vignettes filmed over the last year.

The “Star Trek: Phoenix” vignettes or micro short films were produced by Seattle film production companies Temporal Studios, 3rd Eye Films, and Sonnet Realm Films.

“We’ve got an amazing group of all-volunteer cast and crew of more then 150 people that dedicate their time, blood, sweat, and tears to make this production the best it can be,” said Leo Roberts, senior executive producer of “Star Trek: Phoenix” and founder of Temporal Studios. “The vignettes are a way to share the world of ‘Star Trek: Phoenix’ with fans while we’re securing funds for the remaining of the pilot episode,” Roberts noted. “It also allows us to show potential investors how much we can do, and how we can maximize funds.”

The vignettes are available online at www.stphoenix.com and include “Hollow,” “Holo-Victory,” “No Other Medicine,” “Third Degree” and “Fractured Logic.” The pilot episode, “Cloak and Dagger” is currently in production and principal photography will continue through the fall of this year.
