Redmond’s first SNAP21 event begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 8 and will end before 4 p.m. in downtown Redmond.
SNAP21 is one of a series of walking-around puzzle events in the greater Seattle area. Small teams walk along a modest course and search for “treasures.” Although walking is involved, it is more of a puzzle hunt than a physical challenge.
Teams will walk about three miles over the course of five-seven hours and a map will be provided.
The activity is appropriate for adults and older children, junior high and up, who enjoy word or logic puzzles. Teams without adults are not recommended. The event is non-commercial but there is a $50 per team fee to cover expenses. Participants should also plan to bring a lunch or stop for lunch during the day in downtown Redmond. Light snacks will be available at the final location and event wrap-up.
