Wednesday, Feb. 27

Fraud: Redmond police responded to a fraud report at 5:30 p.m. in the 7900 block of 170th Place Northeast downtown whereby the victim’s information was fraudulently used for tax filing.

Assault: Redmond police responded to an assault at 4:45 p.m. from a business in the 17600 block of Redmond Way downtown. The suspect has been identified.

Burglary: There was a report of an attempted burglary at 1:16 p.m. from a business in the 17200 block of Northeast 70th Street downtown. A back door window was smashed but no items were taken from the property.

Stolen vehicle recovery: At 9:38 a.m., Redmond police located a stolen vehicle at an apartment complex in the 9300 block of Avondale Road on Education Hill.

Suspicious circumstance: A man was observed on a residential property in the 13900 block of Northeast 84th Street in Grass Lawn between a large construction trailer and the east perimeter fence near the street. He claimed to have a legitimate reason for being there but his story was not credible. He was identified and released.

Drugs: At 8:23 a.m., a Seattle-area man was arrested in the 16300 block of Northeast 98th Street on Education Hill for a drugs-related crime after he was called in as a suspicious person walking around in private back yards.
