The Rose Hill Junior High Jazz Band performed at the Science Fiction Festival held at the Experience Music Project | Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame (EMPSFM) in Seattle on Feb. 7. The group performed science fiction-themed music in the Sky Church at the EMP.
The festival was held from Feb. 7-11. A variety of events were held during the week, including performances by local school bands, orchestras and instrumental ensembles; special screenings of science fiction B-movies; instructor led “Science of Science Fiction” activities; science fiction-themed sing along – dance alongs; script readings; and short story readings from the Science Fiction Short Story contest award winners (grades 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12).
