Car prowl: Redmond police took a car-prowl report at 12:06 p.m. in the 11500 block of Avondale Road. A resident reported the theft of his work tablet and wallet from his truck. The victim was parked at a gas pump and walked into the store. Minutes later, he returned and found the items missing.
Monday, July 24
Theft: Redmond police took a theft report at 6:34 p.m. in the 16400 block of Northeast 106th Place. A resident called police to report having lost $500 after responding to an online ad for concert tickets. The victim was provided with the suspect’s bank account information and transferred the funds. The tickets that the victim later received were fraudulent. The case is under investigation.
Rollover collision: Redmond police were on scene of a rollover accident at about 12:45 p.m. at the intersection of Old Redmond Road and 140th Avenue Northeast. There were minor injuries.
Sunday, July 23
Trespassing: Redmond police took a criminal-trespassing report at 2:54 p.m. in the 2200 block of 152nd Avenue Northeast. Police investigated after residents discovered evidence of someone living in the fire suppression control room of their condo building. Food, bicycles, a mattress, clothes, mini-fridge and even a pogo stick were found in the room. Some of the items were collected as found property, others were discarded. No suspect was located.
Saturday, July 22
Burglary: Redmond police took a residential-burglary report at 12:08 p.m. in the 18000 block of Northeast 30th Street. A resident who was looking after his neighbor’s house while the homeowner was away noticed pry marks on a door to the house and called police. Nobody was found to be in the residence and there was no indication that entry was made inside by the suspect(s). Follow-up will take place once the owner returns home to verify if any property is missing.
Friday, July 21
Theft: Redmond police took a report of a theft of a motor vehicle at 8:57 a.m. in the 17400 block of Northeast 40th Place. A citizen discovered that his vehicle had been stolen while parked outside his residence. The keys to the car were also missing from the kitchen counter. An officer had the vehicle entered into the statewide database as stolen. Follow-up will be conducted with several individuals who had access to the residence.
Wednesday, July 19
Forgery: Redmond police took a forgery report at 10:56 a.m. in the 15600 block of Northeast 109 Street. An officer investigated after a citizen called to report personal checks having been stolen from the mail and used to withdraw money from her bank account. The victim provided electronic copies of the forged checks and the case is under investigation.
