The Redmond Police Department (RPD) is asking local residents to participate in the 31st Annual National Night Out Against Crime on Aug. 5.

Members from the RPD, fire department, city council, mayor’s office and more will attend parties between the hours of 6-9 p.m.

The city had more than 50 neighborhood block parties last year thanks to Redmond’s celebrating approach – neighborhoods held barbecues or ice cream socials as city officials, including Mayor John Marchione and council members, along with police officers and firefighters traveled around the city, visited different neighborhoods. Kids enjoyed crawling in and out of police vehicles and fire trucks as parents meet their neighbors and talked about crime prevention with law enforcement.

Register your neighborhood block party at www.redmond.gov/NNO. An RPD coordinator will contact you and assist with supporting your party details.
