Redmond’s Long graduates from West Point

Cadet Tristan J. Long of Redmond recently graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y.

Lt. Long graduated from Redmond High School in 2010 where he was a member and co-captain of the football team. While at West Point, he majored in environmental geography. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army joining the Infantry branch and has now reported to Fort Benning, Ga., for advanced leadership and Ranger training. Following this training, he will post to Fort Wainwright, Alaska, where he will join the 1st Stryker Brigade.
