Vance Boyer of Redmond recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest scout rank. He was recognized with a Court of Honor on Nov. 8, 2015, sponsored by his home Troop 591, based in Redmond.
For his Eagle Scout project, Boyer, who participated in scouting for seven years, formed a partnership with Ducks Unlimited to build, install and monitor wood duck nesting boxes in Tolt MacDonald Park.
The crew is part of a caravan that began heading south on Jan. 9 and includes firefighters and vehicles from Bothell, Kirkland, Shoreline and Fall City.
“We cannot keep going the status quo of funding in Washington state.”
The legislation will ease expenses for businesses and homeowners.
