Although Gov. Jay Inslee declared a statewide drought emergency, the City of Redmond will have water for normal activities this year. As a member of the Cascade Water Alliance, Redmond receives most of its water from the Seattle water supply system, which has sufficient resources.
“We don’t anticipate any lack of water supply for the City of Redmond this summer. Redmond citizens continue to focus on conserving and maintaining wise use of water,” stated Mayor John Marchione, board chair of Cascade Water Alliance.
