Redmond veterans participate in Wreaths Across America

David Douglas Daughters of the American Revolution sponsored the local event, which featured the placement of 50 wreaths honoring veterans during the 20-minute ceremony. Participants included Redmond VFW Post 2995 members, Overlake Composite Civil Air Patrol Squadron cadets, scout troops and a taps player. Redmond Mayor John Marchione spoke at the ceremony and City Council members David Carson, Pat Vache, Hank Margeson and John Stilin were in attendance.

Volunteers at 815 locations across the United States placed more than 406,000 wreaths on veterans’ gravesites.
